The Lotion Bar

One of my customers requested that I post information about our Lotion Bar to my blog.

This is Jordan Essentials signature product: the hand lotion bar. The Lotion Bar contains an array of wonderful oils blended into a beeswax base that promotes soft, healthy skin. Beeswax is a naturally occurring product containing emollient properties. We use pure coconut oil, free from chemicals, to give the Lotion Bar a creamy texture. The Apricot Oil in our Bar is rich in essential fatty acids: oleic and linoleic. Apricot Oil is known for its ability to penetrate deeply into the skin to moisturize, and revitalize.

Open the can, apply it all over your hands and then rub in like regular lotion. It will soak in and form a barrier to keep your natural moisture in and keep out the things that dry your hands: paper, water, cleaning products, chemicals, etc.

It’s also wonderful on the soles and heels of your feet, your elbows, and it’s a great conditioner for your cuticles.

Carry it in your purse, pocket, back pack, scrubs, or white coats or keep it at your desk. There is never product spillage, container breakage, or leftover residue and it can be carried on airplanes.
Enjoy this wonderful, family-friendly, earth-friendly product from Jordan Essentials.

Our lotion bars can be purchased individually, sets of 5 in the same scent or a mixture of our 5 most popular scents. The 5 Pack is perfect for your gift giving needs.

We even offer an UNSCENTED Lotion Bar, for those who are scent sensitive or wish to wear something that will not obstruct the perfumes.
Signature Fragrances: Black Raspberry Vanilla, Sea Spa, Grapefruit & Lime, Lavender & Eucalyptus, Oatmeal Milk and Honey, Pearberry, Sweet Cucumber Melon, Sugar Sweet Pea, Vanilla Cream, Vine Ripened Honeysuckly, Peach Mango, Naturally Unscented, and Coastal Blue (our men's scent).

Our Most Popular Gift Set!

On many occassions in the past, I have had the opportunity to give our "Country Bunny Infant Premier Set" (it's our best selling set). I was debating whether I should get a set for my Nephews #2 son that is about ready to make his appearance into the world or if I should get them something else that I know they may need, as like with most young people starting a family, things or tight for them.

I happened to ask my sister what they were going to name the baby. When my sister told me, I first ask if my nephew was "mentaly incapacated in anyway". Then my siser said that he wanted an "old" family name. It just happens to be one that will take the poor kid until high school to learn to fit it onto one line of paper!

I quickly counted the letters in "Vladimir" and decided that not only will the baby receive our "Country Bunny Infant Set" , but that it would also be personalized so that the baby could start visualizing what his name looks like, not to mention that it's not a name that we will be able to find readily available in Childerns personalized items, without custom order.
This set includes: All of your favorites for your new little bunny! Lotion Bar, Body Silk, Hare & Body Wash, 4oz. Baby Butter, Starfish Bath Buddy. *FREE Baby Soap Saver included with purchase of set. (does not come filled) Save $7.00 with this purchase!

How Much Lip Gloss and Lip Stick do you eat?

The average woman in America eats 6 pounds of lip stick and gloss in a lifetime!

Think about it . . . you lick your lips; everything you eat goes past those pink petals and the gloss goes with it! Jordan Essentials uses healthy jojoba oil and natural flavorings to make your lip care essentially perfect to eat.

Begin with the new lip exfoliant made with jojoba beads and sugar to gently get rid of dead skin on the lips. Gentle care for your lips will help with chapping and wind burn all through the winter and fall months. Enjoy one little tub of exfoliant and soft lips all winter.

Smooth on the lip gloss with confidence!

Choose from the Jojoba Lip Gloss in the stylish new twist up gloss pen and have no fear about eating mineral oil or waxes that are not healthy for you. Mineral oil warns that if a baby ingests the oil, it can coat their lungs and they could suffocate.
Why put it on your lips?
Try some of our other Lip Products:
Rockin' Raspberry Lip Gloss. Again made with heathy jojoba oil and raspberry flavor for a fun gloss for girls of every age.
Our Lip Bar is like a lotion bar for your lips. Beeswax, Vitamin E and essential oils take good care of your lips with no gloss at all. Throw out the chap stick and choose a mini lip tube. The Lip Bar in twist up tube form is here! Mint, For Him, Kids, Teen Mango and now SPF 15 in tropical fruit will enrich your lips the healthy way!
Please give me a call to try all of these healthy treatments before harsh winter sets in! I love to treat, spoil and pamper you.

Is Jordan Essentials Green?

This is a question that I've been asked more frequently over the past few months, so I posed the question to our home office, as I was not quite sure what the answer was. I knew that ALL of the Jordan Essential Product line was "Made in the USA", most right in Nixa MO.

Here is what I learned, yes indeed Jordan Essentials is "GREEN", not just in our products but in our packaging also. I had noticed the gradual change in our packaging over the past year, but it was really apparent with our newest product launch.

All of our packaging is made in the USA. The containers are recyclable, now only through your area recycling programs, but they're great for reuse in the home and for crafting projects.

Feel Blissed out

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend. My husband and I took a few extra days and visited some of his aunts and uncles in Nebraska . . .so once again I was able to use the drive to catch up on some of my reading.

I read a brief article on "Feeling Blissed Out with Ylang Ylang Oil" in Women's World. This caught my attention as one of our products has Ylang Ylang oil in it. It went on to report that a British Study of 144 people studied the aroma of ylang-ylang which smells like a sweet flower blossom and it had a soothing effect on narly every single subject. The article also mentioned a Thai Study on Ylang Ylang oil, and it showed folks exposed to Ylang Ylang saw their blood pressure drop.

Our Relaxing Bedside Collection is infused with Ylang Ylang Oil. What better way to end the day with a relaxing blend of essential oils! (including Ylang Ylang) Soft candlelight, relasxing essential oil spritzer for your pillow and sheets and olive butter to lull you into a great nights Sleep. It comes with a great Basket (basket style may vary)

This collection is great for not only yourself but anyone on your gift giving list who needs to relax and destress before bed. Someone who Loves Lavender, will love this set

Back to School: Avoiding Colds and Flu

School has already started here in Houston, and it definately means that the "Creepy Crud" will soon follow. Our little darlings seem to want to share the cold and flu germs not only with other Children but with Mom and Dad too.

Since my Dad's double heart attack, by-pass and all the related stuff we went through for over a year, I pay more attention to these things, and about wanting to keep the "Creepy Crud Bugs" away from him. We thought as most people do that the "instant hand sanitizers" where the answer until we were told at the hopsital they're good as a quick stop gap, but remember that they also kill the good bacteria, not just the bad bacteria.

Yesterday our local news station ran a spot on "Keep your Kids healthy Tips" in which hand washing was promoted as the BEST option to fighting "Creep Crud". I went to their site to check out the news, and they had a wonderful link with some great tips to "Keeping your Kids Healthy"

Now I know that my Nephews always have to be reminding to stop what they are doing and wash their hands, as do many children. I've sent each of my sisters a bottle of Nitty Gritty Hand Wash (and have one set up here at the office too). As my niece told me it smells great. I even set a bottle in my Husband's Bathroom to see how it works on his grease from work . . will keep you posted on this one.

Nitty Gritty Hand Wash, cleans up the messiest hands with a fresh sweet smell. Perfect exfoliation for kids, crafters and outdoors people. $10.00 You'll find it under Bath Products on our website

Just depress the top any you're ready to go. A little goes a long way.

The "EYE's" have it!

My eyes are something that I don't normally think about as they are hidden behind my glasses, and of course when I take my glasses off I don't see very much. So about the only time I give my eyes some thought is when they are tired, or weeping from allergies.

Earlier this month I was at an ABWA meeting and they had a plastic surgen as the guest speaker, and I was totally surprised by the number of women that had questions about their eyes. For all different reasons, not just wrinkles or bags.

So when I realized that we were coming out with some "EYE" products I was so excited and could not wait to try them. Then it was mentioned to me that many of the ladies have been using our Skin Firming Serum and our Age Defying Serum on their eyes. Now I've been using both on my face and never once thought of using them on my eye lids (I am now).

Two NEW products for the "EYES" have just come out Rejuvenating Cucumber Eye Treatment (infused with cucumber extract for a great anti-inflammatory treatement to reduce puffiness) and Time Rewind Eye Cream (Infused with grape sead, olive squalane and silicone elastomers). I tried both for the first time and let me tell you that I did not realize what I was missing.

The first time that I put on the Rejuvenating Cucumber Eye Mask I was worried because my eyes seem to react to even eye makeup. But there were no problems, just a cool tingling feeling, left it on for a few minutes and my eyes felt so much better. I'm going to use it at least once a week. Another JE Rep has had some real bags under her eyes since I've known her, she's using the Rejuvenating Cucumber Eye Mask several times a week and you can see the difference, of course she's combining it with the Time Rewind Eye Cream. Just a little dab on each eye lid and under the eyes and rub it in, this is a daily use product.

TIP: Do be sure that when rubbing your eyes you use your "ring" finger (so that you don't provide too much pressure) and start from the outside of your eyes towards your nose

September Special!

During the Month of September you can receive a FREE jar of Time Rewind Eye Cream, a $25.00 value (and priceless for your eyes) when you purchase a Face Collection in normal/oily or dry.

Vanilla Cream

Several times in the past, I've mentioned that product sales seem to go in Cycles, and while we're only a few Days into the Month of August, I've already seen a Rush on Vanilla Cream.

While I too love the smell of Vanilla in my home, it's not my preference to wear. But almost every sale this month included something from our Vanilla Cream Scent line. One of my customers has started her Holiday Shopping and purchased 2 five packs of Vanilla Cream Lotion Bars.

I've done a little research, and loo and behold, Vanilla is the most popular Gift Giving Scent.
Curiorisity may have killed the cat, but it just helps me to grow and share the information that I learn.

By the way, the 5 packs are a great way to stretch those shopping dollars, save you $5.00 over purchasing them individually.

Salons can be scary places

About a year or so ago, I had the opportunity to hear a local politician speak about the trials and tribulations she had in breaking through the political glass ceiling in a Texas Small town, typically run through the "good ole boy" network.

A few months ago I was amazed to hear that she had passed away. When I heard more about it in the news, they were talking that it was an infection that she picked up at the Salon when she went to get her feet done. Made me ever so glad that I use our products on my feet daily and don't need to go to a salon for that.

This whole mess came to mind when I received and email to an article titled 9 Diseases You can Get from the SALON.

It talks about Mad cow disease, hepatitis, fungus, even stroke—these can all result from a day of relaxation and beautification at the salon. Beauty is only skin deep, but you're going to have to look beyond the surface to make sure your next trip to the beauty parlor leaves you pampered and free of these nine frightening health risks.

Several of my customers tell me that they will take their Jordan Essentials products to the Salon with them when they go. I for one love the flexibility of pampering in the privacy of my home on my time schedule.

What do you put on a Burn?

Personally I'm not a coffee drinker, but I'm told that hot coffee or tea is really the thing to drink after eating a meal. Me, I do prefer something cold, and yesterday while out at a luncheon I really wish that everyone at my table drank something cold.
The waiter was pouring coffee and some spilled and got hot coffee on the "lady" to my left and on me. He was sorry, but that didn't keep either of us from going Ouchy, Ouchy.

I pulled out a sample of shea butter from my purse and gave it to her, and she put some on the burn, as I did. But I'm used to putting shea butter on kitchen burns and curling iron burns (which do happen from time to time at 5am). Didn't think anything more of it.

Then I received a call telling me how wonderful the Shea butter was and that it took all the sting out and she wanted to order some.
Over the years, I've had numerous customers and a few new TEAM Members get excited about how GREAT our Shea Butter, works on their burns. From Sun Burns, to Rug Burns,

Some Short Exercises for Relaxing

Relax and Refresh

This weekend I spent some time looking for a new desk for home, so I was in both of the major office supply stores in our area, not to mention the routine Grocery and Walmart runs.

The first thought that crossed my mind was it's only JULY, so WHY all the School supplies. . . then it hit me . . . school starts in just a few weeks!

Now in my mind, it does not matter if your a Working Mom, a Stay at Home Mom, or a Teacher your STRESS LEVELS will be Mounting over the next few weeks. Worried about how you're going to get it ALL done and still on budget.

Regretfully, I can't help you with that, but I can share some "Short Exercises for Relaxing" which just might help you get through the start of the school year.

Short Hand Massage
1. Lubricate your fingers with a small amount of Body Butter
2. Start from your wrist, working towards your fingers
3. Follow the contours of each hand with stroking movements
4. Gently, slowly squeeze and stretch your fingers one at a time from the left little finger over to the right little finger (Always Rub UP the the fingers from the knuckle to the nail)
5. Use friction on each of your finger joints both back and front
6. Use your thumb to stroke your palm in a circular motion adding a little pressure

The Relaxing Sigh
1. Sit or stand up straight
2. Let out a deep sigh of relief as the air rushes out of your lungs
3. Don't think about inhaling; just let the air come back in naturally
4. Repeat this procedure 8-10 times whenever you feel the need for it, and experience the feeling of relaxation.

1. Clench your fists. While keeping them clenched, pull your forearms tightly up against your upper arms.
2. While keeping those muscles tense, tense all the muscles in your legs
3. While keeping all those tense, clench your jaws and shut your eyes fairly tight - not too tightly
4. Now, while holding all those tense, take a deep breath and hold it for 5 seconds
5. Let everything go all at one. Feel yourself letting go of all of your tensions. Just enjoy that feeling for a minute as your muscles let go more and more.

How SAFE is your Sunscreen?

This June when we were on a vacation in the Mountains of New Mexico, I was very careful to use my sunscreen, we were outside the better part of 8 hours per day and I burn so easy, especially when we're that high up. I knew that this would definately put the Jordan Essential SunScreen to the test, because for the past 8 years, I've left this vacation "burnt".

For the first time in my life I experienced the excitement of being outside without "burning to a crisp". My skin was even moisturized, I just love this product. I didn't think more about it, but have been showing everyone my light tan.

Then I noticed that conversations would go to who was using what SunScreen, and about the horror stories about burning or baking when they were in their Teens. Then this weekend I picked up a magazine "Change" and was reading it in the car and there was this great article "How SAFE is your SUNSCREEN?".

The article went on to say that 84% of the 831 sunscreens that EWG Tested (Environmental Working Group) tested did not pass health and environmental standards. Many contained potentially harmful chemicals like benzophenone, homosalate and octyl methoxycinnamate amoung others.

Another thing that I leanred was that like most of us I knew about the Ultraviolet A or "UVA" and to make sure that what I used before and now with our Jordan Essentials Sunscreen was to check the "UVA" protection. But I had not thought about "UVB" or Ultraviolet B which consistas of 10% of all UV rays.

So needless to say as soon as we got home, I pulled out my bottle of sunscreen (and our catalog) and here is what it reads:

Kiwi Cooler SPF 30+ Sunscreen

"Very Water resistant" sunscreen

that conditions and protects against the sun's damaging rays.

Paba free. UVA/UVB protection"

I was pleased that we had the protection of both, and none of the "bad" chemicals that were listed in the article.

Do you find. . . .

. . . that some of the products that you may offer run in cycles. I've noticed that of late a couple of weeks back everyone was ordering "body silk", it's great for summer. Then in the past week or so it's been our "facial products".

One of my customers ordered some toner mist, and explained to me why she wanted to try it, she tried some several years ago when her husband was on a couple of "Dallas" episodes, and that she's been looking for something simular ever since. The last week I received the following email from her . . .

Hi Cathy,
I really like the toner mist.........what I found so amazing is that even after you cleanse your face, and think you did a great job washing off your makeup, you still see on the cotton ball that your face was not totally clean of makeup. If you think it is ok, I will give your product a plug at the ABWA meeting.

Of course I gave her the OK to give me a plug. Then later that same week a group of ladies took a "road trip" and when we got to the motel we were ready to just fall into bed, but I had my facial products in the bathroom, and everyone in our suite choose to give them a try vs dragging their own stuff out of their suitcases. Needless to say, each had placed an order for some or all of our facial products.

When I got back home there were a couple of orders waiting for me for the "Toner Mist" and "Facial Scrub".

Our "Toner Mist" is enriched with silk proteins that gently pull and provide an instant tightening while leaving the skin soft and supple. Its cool and refreshing and enriched with our Phyto Essential blend and your face really does feel nourished instantly. It's a great value as a little bit goes a long way to making your face (and you) happy.

I can't wait to see what the next "cycle" of product sales will be

Texas Mini Conference!

Jordan Essentials has been a part of my life now for almost as many years as the company has been in business. I've seen it grow by leaps and bounds. I've seen a company that listens to it's representatives to see what's important to us and what we would like.

I'm including as exerpt from our TEXAS State Director about a wonderful opportunity that is being extended to Representatives and those that are considering the Jordan Essential Opportunity here in TX and those in LA, OK and AR that might want to come on down to WACO TX. Please contact me at for more information and RSVP on attending the event.

The new product line is a limited edition of Coconut Papaya. . . . . wait until you share your hostess gifts with your new hostesses. The Apple Cinnamon Home Collection consists of a fragrant room diffuser and a room spray. It reminded me of homemade Wassail cooking on the stove. The Treat, Spoil & Pamper Special is so cool! A Chocolate Waffle Robe (one size fits most) is packed away in a Treat, Spoil & Pamper Large Tote. Also tucked in the tote is the new White Tea and Ginger limited edition Salt Sample. . . . . .

. . . . . How I wish each and everyone of you could have been there. I know you would have come back inspired and ready to move your business to a whole new level. But because you did not or could not make it, I have a surprise for you! Nancy has given me permission to have a Mini-Convention here in Texas. Three ladies have been certified to teach the courses taught in Springfield” Cindy Hair, Vicki Waldron, myself. I have been working with a rep in Waco, and this is the scoop:

Stress Out?

One of my friends sent me this cute little guy today, assuring me that they "just knew" that I was stressed out and wanted to send me a virtual hug.

It's amazing how ones friends realize that our annual vacation to New Mexico every June for a week is one of the best stress releases for me. I also take that time to pamper myself, something that like most I don't do enough.

However everyone knows that the two weeks leading up to that vacation are "stressful" trying to get everyone lined out at work, leave notes on all my pending projects, and I've got several on my plate right now that I just can't seem to get across the idea that I'm getting ready to leave and I want to have everything tied up before I leave. STRESSED OUT . . . you could say YES!

But I am so looking forward to our vacation and I'm making my list so I don't forget anything important, Sun Screen -- Just love our Kiwi Cooler Scent (always hated smelling like a coconut), our beeswax lip balm, lotion bar (works great at keeping some of those biting bugs away), dead sea salts to soak in, shower gel, shea butter, spritzer for me and the hotel room (they always need freshening up). Not to mention my standard facial items . . . . . Maybe even our Whispers of Lavender Massage Gel. Ohhh I can't wait!

June is also my Birthday Month, so in addition to the company specials listed below, purchase $25.00 and be entered into a weekly drawing for a $50.00 gas card and a monthly drawing for a $100.00 family pack card. I'm offering a couple of my own in which I will be offering two separate prizes:

Drawing for FREE Kiwi Shower Gel and Spa Polish $25.00 value
1. For every $25.00 spent during the Month of June you will receive one entry
2. Purchase our Father's Day Collection and receive 2 extra entries
3. Purchase a Starter Set (Salt Scrub, Shea Butter and Lotion Bar) and receive 2 extra entries

Hostess Drawing Kiwi Dead Sea Salts and Shea Butter bath bombs $25.00 value
1. Drawing Entry for hosting a Spa Party, Online Party or Book Party
2. Drawing Entry for each $100.00 in sales

Both drawings will be held at 4 pm central time on June 30th.

Orders can be placed online at or by contacting me directly

Father's Day is just around the Corner

I hope that each of you enjoyed your Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. We had a wonderful weekend, did not get much done around the house, but did get to kick back and relax.

Some food for thought for the MEN in your life:
Take care of the men in your life it is important to remember that skin care is for men, too! Jordan Essentials skin care addresses common problem areas for guys as well.

The glycerin base will soothe your skin and allow your razor to glide across your face. Finish with a Jordan Essentials Daily Moisturizer or our Coastal Blue Lotion rather than an alcohol-based aftershave that can irritate and damage your skin.

Skin Firming and Age-Defying serums are perfect for women AND men. Skin Firming serum will tone skin while our Age-Defying serum with silica elastomers is perfect to target everything from skin creases to deep wrinkles.

90's and it's only May!

What happened to SPRING? It's only May and we've already had more days in the 90's then I care to think about. Then add in the Gulf Coast Humidity and all I can say is that I'm in a contant state of "WILT". Yesterday while I was out on the range with my husband, one thought kept running through my mind "I'm Melting, I'm Melting".

Then it hit me that I had a mini-spritzer bottle with our "Sweet Cucumber Melon" scent in my brief case in the van (yes took work with me to work on during the 1 1/2 travel time each way, but that's another story). So I went and got it, spritzed myself and then dropped it in the cooler.

Dropping the spritzer in the cooler or keeping one in the fridge is one of my favorite personal pampering treats during the "HOT weather". About every 1/2 hour I found myself pulling it out of the cooler and spritzing myself. It felt so cool and wonderful, and gave me that little pick me up that I needed.

I'm one of those people who love it when a product has multi-uses. Let's see . . .
Use 1: As a personal body spritzer
Use 2: Applied cold it's great for cooling down you body after excercising or outdoor activities
Use 3: Freshening a room, always have on hand for those motel rooms
Use 4: I've been know to spray it on our wet dog, once or twice :)
Use 5: It's great to use when freshening things up in the dryer.

Our spritzer, is available in all signature scents, plus Peach Mango and Coastal Blue, you'll get 9 fluid oz for $11.00 to purchase online

I was asked: Do men need pampering. . .

I was at a Health Fair recently, and at the booth next to me was a Gentleman representing one of the State of Texas Health Programs. It's not unusual when you have a booth set up at an event to almost learn the presentation for the booth next to yours, mind you I said almost.

Late in the afternoon, he asked me if I would mind answering a few questions for him honestly. Told him I always try to be honest in my answers. . . . then he started laying out the questions one by one.

What product is it you say your Dad stole from you. I then explained that I let my Dad use my Unscented Lip cube, because his nose was raw from a cold and it worked so well for him that he kepts it for future use. Then I explained that when Dad was on Oxygen in the Hospital his nose would get raw and it helped there also.

The next question was What about the Yuckie soap. I proceeded to tell him that my husband is a bar soap man, and I for one don't like the way soap gets Yuckie in soap dish and that I was talking about our wonderful Soap Sacks so that the soap can be used and hung getting rid of that Yuckie Soap bottom.

Then it was, what do you mean Men get addicted. Again I needed to explain that I have many men who use our Lotion Bars for their feet. Since they wear work boots and cowboy boots regularlly and their feet are dry and crackin, some to the point of bleeding. I found that many of my male customers will go through a lotion bar a lot quicker then the women, as once they start using it and see the improvement in their feet they are more addicted to it's use then any of my lady customers. I went on to explain further, that many of the men will start off with the unscented, or one of our two men's fragrances, then move onto some of the other fragrances.

They didn't stop there, Tell me about the kid and the fish. Had to stop for a moment on that one then realized that I had shared a story about one of my TEAM joining. She had put a jar of salt scrub by the sink in the mud room for her husband to use when he came in from fishing. It seems that in an attempt at Father / Child bonding they felt that maybe they needed to include the youngest which was a girl who was dead seat against "bonding" because of the stinky fishy small that got on everyone's hands. But when Daddy used the "Salt Scrub" the fishy smell was gone, so she was eager to go on the next "bonding trip. I then explained that my husband gets dirty and greasy at work, and that he uses the Salt Scrub when he gets home to help remove that grease and grime.

Then before he could ask any more questions, I offered to give him a hand pampering and when all was done, he commented that he never thought his hands would need pampering, but they felt wonderful, and his purchases made for the biggest sale that I had that day.

Remember that Father's Day is just around the corner and Jordan Essentials has a WONDERFUL Father's Day Special, that will have you saving $35.00 our Gift Set!

Show dad how much you appreciate him this Father’s Day This set includes Mountain Fresh 9 oz. Shower Gel, Body Spray, Salt Scrub, Lotion, For Him Soap Saver and a Travel Bag. A $75 value for only $40! Available starting May 7, 2008. Order online at or contact me directly. Only $40.00 plus tax and shipping, While supplies last.

My Embarrassed Husband

Last weekend my hubby David and I went away for a 3 day weekend, for a State Competition and we started the day off in the Rain. . . . Then it cleared up and became hot and muggy, nothing surprising for Texas. We finished for the day about 2:00 in the afternoon and the conversation turned to what we were going to do about food.

Well being exhausted, sweaty and tired I suggested that we just grab something to eat and head for the motel that worked great until David saw the Applebee's sign, so off to Applebee's we went, with me commenting that I hope that was nobody we knew there to see me like I was.

When we got there they set us in the back, no reason to wonder why. We were enjoying our dinner when I nice lady in the booth across from us said, excuse me, but you have the "most wonderful skin I've ever seen, I bet you're never out in the sun!

David turned about 100 shades of Red, as he could not believe that a stranger would come up to me and comment on my complexion and ask me how I keep my skin looking so good. He became even more embarrassed when I pulled out a catalog and started showing her our facial line.

Jordan Essentials has one of the best product lines that I've ever used on my face. Our productline includes a set for Normal/Oily Skin Care, Dry Skin Care Kit (which is what I use -- love that moisturizer with Shea Butter and Soy).

So you can Cleanse, Exfoliate, Detoxify, Tone, Firm Moisturize and then Defy Age. When we first came out with our facial line I thought that I didn't need to use the Firming Serum, then I tried it and loved it! I was firm that I didn't need the Age Defying Serum either, but I tried it and found out that I love using ALL of it on my face and neck. (I think it's even helped my tighten up that bit of a double chin I have).

All of our facial can be purchased in Sets or as individual items. Our MAY SPALICIOUS set is from our Facial Line -- Cleanser, Toner and Age Defying Serum for only $40.00.
Check our our facial line online at or if you're in the Houston Area, give me a call and I'll be happy to come out let you try our products one on one or with a few friend.
Why not receive complements from strangers about your skin, it's a great feeling!

Look younger with Grapefruit

Until the 19th century, grapefruit was grown purely as an ornamental fruit. Rarely eaten, it was known only for its looks - an interesting harbinger of its modern-day promise to improve ours.

A 2005 study by the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation, in Chicago, showed that the scent of grapefruit on women made them seem an average of six years younger to men. Grapefruit's main use in skin care, however, is as a citric acid. Like any alpha hydroxy acid, citric acid loosens the bonds between skin cells, allowing dead ones to fall away, revealing smoother, more radiant skin.

You learn something new every day!

We'll today is Professional Assistant's Day. This morning I ran to the Flower Shop to pick up my orders for my Staff here at work. A variety of plants and flowers, as I had to be sure that each person got something befitting their personal likes and dislikes.

Didn't have a problem with a decision until I came to "my mother", who works for me. I wanted to get her "roses" as now that I have her in another office (and they would not bother my allergies) I had to make the decision on which rose arrangement to get. Then I had "4" simular ones lined up. . . finally made my decision. Took it to the office to give to Mom. . . she was excited first because they were "roses" , was quick to add that she loved the vase. Then Mom proceeded to share a story with me that in my 50+ years of knowing, living and working with this woman was the very first time that I heard it.

Mom started off "did you know that when I was a little girl, snap dragon's were my favorite flower". I confirmed that I did not know that, then she went onto say, that she didn't remember it either, but that Grandma had reminded her of it over and over again that last couple years that she was with us. I told her that Grandma must have been watching over me, and telling me to get the snap dragons because this was the only one of the 4 I was considering with the snap dragons.

I could not believe the smile on my mom's face when I told her that. Then reality set in, how am I going to top that for Mother's Day! Then my sister reminded me of the stories of my mom going to pick black raspberry's with Grandpa when she was a little girl. . . . .

Well I guess that I'll get my mom our Jordan Essentials Mother's Day Special which is personalized "MOM" and an arrangement of Snap dragons!

Dead Sea Glycerin Soap

Just last weekend I was at one of the local colleges for a Health fair. I took the normal products that sell well at the Health Fairs. . . things like our Shea Butter, Unscented Products, Lavender products. I was looking forward to see how our Jordan Dead Sea Bath Salts went over. I also throw in some of our Glycerin Soaps as there is always one or two people who are interested, expecially now that we have several more to choose from.

But I was shocked, when it turned out that our Dead Sea Glycerin Soap was one of my hottest selling items! Sold out of what I had and took orders for more

Here's what some of the other reps are saying about the Dead Sea Salt Soap I have a new favorite soap!

Since the Sea Spa Dead Sea Salt Glycerin Soap came out in this last launch, I have got a new favorite. This soap is wonderful, I have been using this everyday on my eczema on my leg and it really stops the itching and leaves my leg soft and smooth. I only use this on my legs, since that is my problem area. ~Brenda~

Me too!!! I am a die hard JE shower gel girl (I usually have at least 2 large shower gels at all times in the shower), but ever since this soap came in the new products kit I have been using it and it is soooooo wonderful. I am not about to trade in my shower gels for it, but think it is an amazing soap that really smoothes and cleans the skin. ~Diane ~

I love this soap too. So much so that I'm autoshipping it so I'll never be without!!! PJ

My hubby, ds, and neighbor are all loving this soap, too. They are so happy to have a 'bar' soap. Hubby has also found it relieves his eczema. ~Deanna~

Well, I'm a shower gel person, don't use bar soaps, so the next best thing for me to trying the products is testing it on Hubby . . . . .well I had to wait until he got done with the bar of soap that was in use before he could open this on up. Well this morning was the lucky morning for that "NEW STUFF"! Well to say the very least he was impressed and informed me that it was the "BEST STUFF", and that I need to be sure to keep some extra in the closet.
Our Dead Sea Glycerin Soap can be purchased online at
