There is so much that I could say about this little hidden gem.

I take the Jordan Essentials Show Gel, fill the Foamer 1/4 of the way, fill with warm water and shake. Just push the pump down, and you will receive a hand full of foam to wash your hands.

It's a slow pump, so you don't have to worry about the kids pumping it a half dozen times before you can stop them.

Lips say I Do!!!!

For me I've been on a large learning curve with makeup. Like most I was taught to draw a line around my lips to keep my lipstick from bleeding. However I would have a tendency to put it on to dark, or not being able to keep the line right along the edge of my lips.

I loved the TIP about this very thing from the Jordan Essentials home office:

To keep lipstick from seeping outside the lip line by tracing a swab dipped in loose mineral just outside their perimeter before and after applying lip color. . . . . How easy is that!!!!!

Give your face a warm glow or sunkissed look using blush. When applying blush, begin at the apple of the cheek and extend on up to the temple area. Circle the whole face with remaining color left in brush. With minerals, layering the right amount of color is key. Use with Blush Brush or Kabuki Brush.

Happy New Year, I have decided to start a NEW addition to my blog, Sunday Stretch your Dollars with Jordan Essentials.

If your family is like mine you have those who will remain loyal to their "bars of soap". However I am not one, I get very frustrated with those little bars of soap that are left laying on the sink, because they don't want to throw them out, nor do they do anything but make a mess.

My solution is to slip them into a soap sack, then they can be hung nicely and used in the shower or at the sink. I allows you to use the soap to the very end, and does not leave a mess.

The soap sacks are available in Blue and White, and can be found in my web store under Essential Accessories. They're even washable, just add them to your next order or contact me directly.

If you're like most of us, leading into the Holiday's can be and is extremely stressful, as there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day.

Here are a FEW quick and easy

Short Exercises for Relaxing!

Short Hand Massage:

Lubricate your fingers with a small amount of Body Butter
Start from your wrist, working towards your fingers
Follow the contours of each hand with strocking movements
Gently, slowly squeeze and stretch your fingers one at a time from the left little finger over to the right little finger. (Always rub "up" the fingers from the knuckle to the nail)
Use friction on each of your finger joints both back and front
Use your thumb to stroke your palm in a circular motion adding a little pressure

The Relaxing Sigh:

Sit or stand up stright
Let out a deep sigh of relief as the air rushes out of your lungs
Don't think about inhaling; just let the air come back in naturally
Repeat this procedure 9-10 times whenever you feel the need for it, and experience the feeling of relaxation

The Relaxing Sigh:

Clench your fists. While keeping them clenched, pull your forearms tightly up against your upper arms.
While keeping those muscles tense, tense all the muscles in your legs.
While keeping those all those tense, clench your jaws and shut your eyes fairly tight -- not to tightly.
Now, while holding all those tense, take a deep breath and hold it for 5 seconds
Let everything go all at once. Feel yourself letting go of all of your tensions. Just enjoy that feeling for a minute as your muscles let go more and more.

One of the GREAT things about Jordan Essentials, is that we understand that when you get your "Systems" home, the tough part is remembering how to use your products. After all, you've slept since then, and have been running the business of your day to day life!

So we include a little note card in each "SYSTEM" that explains the steps to follow, however I know I change it up depending on how I'm feeling, or what my body is telling me it needs.

For example our Premier Home Spa System includes these steps for a luxurious Premier spa experience:

I too have rosacea although I forget that I do with the Jordan face care line! I believe the age defying serum is fabulous follow with tinted moisturizer and the mineral make up. They lay light on the skin and do not irritate. The ...rosacea is blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. I do not exfoliate very often at all to keep my skin calm. I LOVE the gentle cleaner in the soap saver and volia I am off and running. How to Apply Mineral Makeup

It may be tempting to just brush on minerals like loose powder, but don't! Mineral makeup is much less translucent than loose powder and is meant to be worn as foundation, so you need to apply it sparingly and build it in stages to achieve the ideal look.

Here is how to do it:

Sprinkle a small amount of product onto the lid
Take your Kabuki brush and dab it into the powder. Rotate the bristles down into the powder, working the product up into the brush. You want to get the powder into the bristles rather then sitting on the tips. The white bristles help you see how much you have in your brush.
Starting at the center of your face (your forehead is a good place to start) butt the brush against your skin in a circular motion, working towards the edges of your face.
Continue to buss until you need to add more product. You should only need to add more once or twice during the application. Less is more! Layer the miners until you feel you have good coverage. 1 for sheer natural and up to 3 for a more made-up look.
The buffing motion is key to flawless application. It works the minerals into your skin so they adhere and blends it out so it's the same consistency everywhere on your face.
To use the mineral makeup powder as concealer, simply dip your concealer brush into the powder and apply to the area you wish to conceal. You can use the Kabuki Brush afterwards to smooth out any excess

I remember my teenage years like they were yesterday, it was an ongoing battle against the "zits" that would show up over night out of nowhere, especially when I had something super special that I wanted to look nice for.

Vacations . . . .

I love getting away with my husband. The week before we left meant extra hours at work getting everything lined up to bring everyone in the office up to speed on what I was working on, and what might be happening during the week that I'm gone. Then there is getting everything packed and ready. So I'm happy for a 14 hour drive, as it gives me a chance to wind down.

Our annual trip is to New Mexico, but we went to a different part this time, and we spent 8 days in SUN, WIND, and what seemed to be a constant DUST DEVIL! None of which are good for the skin. Had several friends from home with us at this event and all were commenting about how well I was looking, given the extreme problems that everyone was having. Jordan Essentials was the answer I promised to share my secrets on my blog when I got back.

Morning:

(JE)Sea Spa Shower Gel -- worked well in both Freezing Cold and Boiling Hot Water -- temp regulation seemed to be an additional problem

Every weekday morning I have a little something from Denise Austin in my inbox, this morning I was going to skip reading it, as I'm still feeling the burn from yesterdays NEW exercise routine. . . but the title caught my attention.

Put A Fresh Face Forward

Your face endures a lot — from wind and cold weather to pollution and the sun — every day! That's why it's so important to take care of your face now, before it's too late. You should gently cleanse your skin every day and use a daily moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. In addition, why not consider splurging on the occasional facial? It seems like I spent most of my pre-teen and teenage years battling Acme and oily skin. . . Heck even into my 20 and 30's. Then it was like someone flipped a switch, and I was fighting dry skin except for that "T" Zone which as still oily, then back to extremely dry. But at least the acme was gone.

Mineral makeup has been the latest craze among women who are beauty aficionados but also want to keep their skin looking good. So why all the fuss about this new type of makeup and how is it different from the kind of makeup that has been used for decades now? Simply put, mineral makeup is makeup made from crushed minerals such as mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides and zinc oxide. They usually come in the form of loose powder while some are packaged just like regular makeup. The selling point of these kinds of makeup is that they do not contain any harmful chemicals, dyes and other preservative so they are good for the skin. Mineral makeup eliminates the other additional ingredients found in other makeup such as harmful parabeens and fragance, so it is considered as more pure and better for natural skin care.

Mineral makeup fans like the fact that it is less prone to cause allergies and other irritations that makeup with heavy chemicals can sometime cause. It is non-comodegenic and oil free, which causes acne and other facial impurities. Mineral makeup also rarely uses talc, which has been found to be a carcinogen in regular makeup. Mineral ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are natural sun blockers and can deliver UVA and EVB protection equivalent to a sunscreen which has a SPF20.

Another thing that both everyday makeup users and professional makeup artists like about mineral makeup is the fact that it is less heavy on the skin and goes on more smoothly than regular makeup. This is because there are less ingredients that make it heavy like the usual makeup brands. This is a posting that Nancy Bogart our founder and CEO shared on her Jordan Essentials Blog, and I thought you would find it interesting.

Have you ever seen a magazine and they ask you to pick a color and then tell you what it means about your personality?
Mine really has changed over the years, so it is hard to say one color over another. Yes, there are colors I look better in but I am pretty much a free spirit when it comes to colors.

Recently I read a Martha Stewart tip to color coordinate your closet. I am about as far from Martha Stewart as you can be. She wears khaki, I do not own anything khaki, but she has a point. I moved all of the pinks together, all of the greens, all of the blacks etc in my closet. I wondered to myself how long this would last. I LOVE IT!
Organization actually helps my creative spirit. I go in and think “How am I feeling today?” if it is pink I go to pink and then match my pants and shoes and off I go. I like to be ready to go in about 30 minuets. Must be my ADD.

My Mineral Make up color choices came next. How can I use this info to have a great, easy, pretty routine in the morning that makes me feel good about my finished look.

Step 1. I have 3 base colors. Depending on what I am wearing I pick my base shade of color. Most days it is Jordan Essentials White Sands on a dry eye shadow brush. Sometimes when I feel a little glamorous I wet the brush. Recently introduced I love the new Jordan Essentials Petal Pink. I did not think of myself as a pink eye shadow girl but it is sheer and beautiful as a base color. My third base is Aztec Gold for a bright eye day and no shimmer. Most days I like to shimmer.

Step 2. I have 2 Liner Colors. I used Chestnut Brown FOREVER, and thought it was time to really up “my look” to something new. Plumtastic and Emerald Green are my two new liner loves. The angled brush makes all the difference. Everything I read and the experts I talk to all say, the brush makes the difference and I have to agree. I love the liner brush wet and have not missed the pencil liners of my past pre JE Minerals!

Step 3. To smudge or not to smudge. I use the applicator that comes with my liner color and make a light or dark c shape from the outer corner of my eye and smudge the liner a little for a more smokey finish to my eyes.

However, some days I chose not to accent or smudge at all, just line. My lashes are pale yellow so I have to do something.

Step 4. a New Mascara! WOW your mascara really counts. I take my time with the new Volumizing Jordan Essentials Mascara, I LOVE IT! It gives a wet look without clumping. The brush is short and great to really define lashes. I have been using a second coat on the outer lashes in the corners which defines and gives my eyes a playful wink.

Step 5. Aw, just blush. I have probably not been using enough blush I learned after my makeover in Oregon with professional make up artist Jenny Karl. She started light and layered until I was just right and rosy. Too much? We just brushed a little mineral powder over the top.

I think we as women get a little caught up in wanting to have great colors that still keep us looking like ourselves. Minerals can really do that for you. They lay nicely on the skin and look lovely while lasting all day long.

I am feeling organized and ready for spring. I have worked out my closet, my colors and it really helps my confidence. Nothing is as beautiful as a confident woman in my opinion. I meet women all across the country in all shapes and sizes. The real beauty is in what she thinks about herself.

Prevent and Soothe Chapped Winter Hands

Dry, cracked hands are a common cold weather complaint. Here's how to get a grip on the problem.

The main culprit? Lack of moisture.

Having a healthy outlook on life makes you feel better on the inside, and with a little help, those positive changes can also be reflected on the outside. When men and women hit their 40s and 50s, their skin changes. The outer later of skin stops turning over skin cells as quickly and uniformly as it did when they were younger, which leaves skin looking dry, blotchy, and dull. That process, combined with the cumulative effects of decades of sun exposure, makes wrinkles and skin cancer prime...

During the winter months, the humidity in the outside air plunges. Inside, things are even more arid, with indoor heating creating desert-like conditions in our home and office. What's more, follow the advice of health care experts to wash your hands frequently to avoid catching a cold or the flu and you'll sap whatever natural oils are left in your skin.

The effect -- hands so dehydrated they may crack, peel, bleed, and become painful -- can be alarming.

"People will have fissures in their hands and they'll come to see me saying they can't figure out what's happening," says New York City dermatologist Ellen Marmur, MD, author of Simple Skin Beauty: Every Woman's Guide to a Lifetime of Healthy, Gorgeous Skin. "It's just extremely dry skin."

The good news, Marmur says, "is once you recognize that, you're halfway on your way to fixing the problem."

Here's what you need to know to help your hands weather winter.

Hereditary Plays a Role

Just how well our hands can withstand winter's harsh conditions has a lot to do with the strength of our skin barrier, says Charles Crutchfield III, MD, a dermatology professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. A combination of proteins, lipids, and oils, the skin barrier is what protects our skin from assault, and just how good a job it does is largely genetically determined.

If you have a weak barrier, you're more prone to symptoms of sensitive skin, like itching, inflammation, and eczema. You're also more likely to experience excessively dry hands in winter.

The bottom line: If you suffered from chapped hands last year, you can count on that happening again this season and every winter.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

To treat parched, scaly hands, you need to replace the moisture that your thirsty skin is missing. Drinking water, experts point out, won't do that.

"It's the moisturizer applied directly to the skin that will keep water from evaporating and give your skin a healthy, dewy appearance," says dermatologist Amy Wechsler, MD, author of The Mind-Beauty Connection: 9 Days to Reverse Stress, Aging and Reveal More Youthful, Beautiful Skin.

For effective treatment, apply moisturizer early and often. "The best prevention is to begin using a moisturizer before your hands show signs of dryness," Marmur says.

Putting moisturizer on just once a day is inadequate. "That's probably enough protection for about five minutes," Marmur says.

With more frequent application, however, the effects of a moisturizer last longer. Five or six applications a day, Marmur says, will provide round-the-clock protection.

To reach that goal, Marmur suggests practicing what she calls "good product placement." Along with keeping a big jar or tube of your favorite over-the-counter moisturizer in your bathroom, stow smaller sizes in your purse, gym bag and on your desk so application becomes a habit.

And remember to rub the hand cream or lotion over your cuticles and nails. "Nails can become dry, just like the skin of the hands," Crutchfield says.

I find that Salt Scrub is one of our most misunderstood products. Why you may ask, is many do not realize that there are many great uses for this wonderful product.

You may ask why a make that statement. . . in just a few days I complete my 8th year with Jordan Essentials!

During the past 8 years, I've met some wonderful ladies (and gentlemen too) that I have had the opportunity to work with and build a TEAM!

I've met some wonderful people who have become as addicted to our products as I have become.

I joined Jordan Essentials (Country Bunny Bath & Body) to have enough money to pay for the extra's that I wanted to have, but could not fund, Jordan Essentials paid for most of my ABWA activities so that I didn't have to take funds out of the family budget.     It's also kept me supplied with all of my bath, body and spa needs.

As I look back I realize that the reason that I joined Jordan Essentials, has evolved too. Yes, it still pays for my extra's, and provides me a continuous supply bath, body and spa products. But it's given me the opportunity to GROW and MENTOR others who are looking to get a few extra dollars, send a kid to college or just get out of the house.

Many have never experienced the excitement of Direct Sales or Entrepreneurship, and the rewards of seeing these wonderful people blossom into what THEY want to be, not what someone else is telling them they need to be.

One of the first products that I ever used from our company was the Lotion Bar.

This is our signature product, the hand lotion bar. The Lotion Bar contains an array of wonderful oils blended into a beeswax base that promotes soft, healthy skin. Beeswax is a naturally occurring product containing emollient properties. We use pure coconut oil, free from chemicals, to give the Lotion Bar a creamy texture.
